The power of brands is quite intriguing. The popularity of one brand does not depend on how historic the brand is in terms of years; it’s more about what the company offers. Dependable and innovative products and services will always prove loyalty among customers.
In a recently published YouGov survey, over 590 brands were ranked based on several factors including impression, quality, value, satisfaction, recommendation, and reputation. The index scores are based on data taken during the 12-month period from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. All scores were taken through an 18+ sample from each respective country.
Three Arab countries were taken into consideration in the survey. Popular brands in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates differ in some ways and intersect in others. Here’s a look at the findings:
In Egypt, it seems people are quite fond of Google as a brand. In YouGov’s survey, the majority of individuals named Google as their favorite company, and, well, can you blame them? Google not only honors some of Egypt’s legendary figures from time to time but also gave birth to the concept of googling pretty much anything – anytime, anywhere. Besides Google, here are the most popular brands in Egypt:

There are some brands that saw major improvements in the country including the local restaurant Om Hassan and the global streaming service Netflix.
In Saudi Arabia, people are quite devoted to Al Baik, a local fast-food chain famous for its salivating broasted chicken. The chain, which opened its first outlet in Jeddah in 1974, goes way back in time. In recent years, Al Baik has expanded to various Saudi cities to satisfy taste buds all around the kingdom. Besides Al Baik, here are the 10 most popular brands in Saudi Arabia:

In the UAE, people are all about comfort while traveling, which explains why Emirates is the most popular brand in the country. The Dubai-based carrier is known for putting experience and punctuality first and has since its founding in 1985. The fact that Dubai International Airport built its own Emirates terminal (Terminal 3) is proof that experience comes before all else; all flights not operated by Emirates arrive and depart from Terminal 1.
